Life Groups are a way for our people to make connections outside of Sunday mornings. Our hope and prayer is that these relationships enable everyone to grow deeper in their knowledge and love for Jesus Christ and each other. They are a great way to develop deep and lasting relationships. They are designed to help develop relationships, to encourage pursuit of a Christ-centered life, and to help equip individuals for advancing God’s kingdom in their homes, at church, and in the community.
Groups are typically consist of 8 to 12 adults that meet in a home or at the Church for a few hours each week.
Life Groups are also encouraged to find ways to reach out to their communities. This occurs through member’s relationships at work, in their neighborhood, or by helping one another.
Join a Life Group! Build meaningful friendships, learn powerful biblical Truth and experience soul-deep transformation. We have groups that meet throughout the week. Interested? Contact Connie or call the church office at 715-466-2844 for more information.

Tom Kelby Bible Study
Developing Leaders Workshop is a training program for those who desire to grow in their love and understanding of God’s word. The Bible is a big book; it was written thousands of years ago in a completely different part of the world. But we are called to know it, obey it, and to use it! Beyond this, while we may not be pastors or teachers, all of us need to be able to explain it to others. These workshops were originally developed to help pastors and leaders in other parts of the world grow in their knowledge of God’s word. Many of these pastors have limited opportunities for education. Beyond this, they live in areas with high illiteracy rates. For these reasons, the teaching in these workshops needs to be easily grasped and needs to be easy to pass on to others. That has been our goal in these workshops. For this reason, all of the teaching in these workshops has been combined with illustrations (drawings). This allows major concepts and ideas to be taught more easily.
This August 28th & 29th at 7 pm at the River Church, we will do two things:
1. Introduce the Bible and the Old Testament as a whole,
2. Carefully examines the first section in the Bible (Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, Deuteronomy). We will cover main themes, storylines, and characteristics of these books. These five books are used throughout the entire Bible, so getting a handle on these five books helps immensely in understanding all of the books!
If you have been wanting to get a better grasp of the Bible, this is for you. If you teach Sunday school or lead youth group, this is for you. If you are a parent, this is for you. Please plan on attending both nights. All those attending will receive a notebook.
